Mercer Island

This Mercer Island Single family home sits on the north edge of the island. The non traditional house is primarily constructed of steel. The upper floor is significantly cantilevered beyond the lower floor, requiring the use of multiple brace frames located in walls and floors.

Magnolia

This modern home is located in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle. It features a combination of exposed concrete, steel, and wood which are blended to create a unique home.

Maui

This multi-family project consists of 24 condominium homes in the Wailea Resort area of Maui, Hawaii. The roof system consists of decking spanning to custom built heavy timber trusses thru the center of the plan and simply supported glu-lam beams at the perimeter.

2006 IBC is here 9 Oct

The 2006 IBC took effect July 1, 2007 state wide. The city of Seattle will be fully adopting the new code in November of this year. Check Seattle’s website for more information and a list of significant changes found the 2006 Seattle Building Code.
